Getting Support for the Millersoft Data Vault Engine and Studio

Thanks for experimenting with the Millersoft Data Vault Engine and Studio on GitHub.
The Data Vault Engine and Studio makes metadata-driven Data Vault delivery faster, more consistent, and easier to manage through workflow-driven interaction. But we should be clear about one important thing:
The Engine and Studio will not automatically make you an experienced Data Vault engineer.
The Data Vault pattern can look deceptively simple. Hubs, Links, Satellites, business keys, relationships, history, automation — the concepts are elegant. But in real delivery, there are subtleties that can quietly consume project time, budget, and confidence.
There will also be issues hidden in your source data that no Data Vault tool can magically fix. Poor source quality, unclear business meaning, inconsistent keys, changing semantics, undocumented processes, and conflicting stakeholder assumptions all still need careful analysis and engineering judgement.
So the real choice is this:
Do you want to learn by research and doing, or learn from experience?
Self-Service Support
If you want to take the self-service route, we strongly recommend starting here:
-
Read Building a Scalable Data Warehouse with Data Vault 2.0: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Building-Scalable-Data-Warehouse-Vault/dp/0128025107
-
Explore Data Vault training through the Data Vault Alliance: https://datavaultalliance.com
-
Follow Dan Linstedt on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dlinstedt/
These are excellent starting points if you want to build your own capability over time.
Professional Services
If you are planning a serious Data Vault implementation, we recommend getting experienced help early.
The cost of expert guidance is usually far lower than the cost of discovering key modelling, automation, or source-data issues halfway through delivery.
Millersoft has qualified consultants with hard-bitten experience building live Data Vaults both by hand and using the Millersoft Data Vault Engine. We can help you:
- Avoid common Data Vault delivery traps
- Validate your modelling approach
- Identify source-data risks early
- Accelerate implementation
- Make better use of the Engine and Studio
- Build confidence in your delivery approach
